I spend time almost every day pruning our flowers and shrubs. I do this because they grow better by cutting the dead things away.

This is true in our lives too. There are many things that we know are holding back our growth. It may be painful to cut them out of our lives, but it may be necessary for our transition to be more beautiful.

Today's Bible verse says. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes that it may bear more fruit. John 15:2 ESV

We must be pruned to grow to be the beautiful people God created us to be. It may be time to allow God to eliminate the dead things in our lives that are holding back our growth.
