When Your Child Dies

by Kay Heitsch

When your child dies, you miss many things about them.
One thing is the smell of the child. I remember holding Todd's letterman jacket to just get a scent of him. That may sound odd, but I'm sure other parents whose child has died may have done the same thing.
Another thing is hearing the child's voice.
Brandon was only 2 1/2 when Todd died. As Brandon got older, his voice began to change. One day, Brandon was upstairs when he called down to me. It was the strangest thing, but when Brandon called me, he sounded exactly like Todd.
It's interesting what things will come to your mind even after many years. These two memories are special to me and bring tears to my eyes and a smile as I remember.

Laugh and Stay Young

by Kay Heitsch

You don't stop laughing when you grow old. You grow old when you stop laughing. ~ Laugh and Stay Young Quotes ~
Did you know that being happy and laughing helps you stay young? This is because laughter releases hormones that reduce stress and promotes a positive mood. In addition, according to the Integrative Medical Center, laughter will increase beneficial growth hormone, the anti-aging hormone that helps keep us young.
Our Bible verse says, A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. Proverbs 17:22 NLT
There ya go, a cheerful heart is a good medicine. It increases the anti-aging hormone that keeps us young. Who wouldn't want that?
You don't stop laughing when you grow old. You grow old when you stop laughing.

Dr. George's Dental White

by Kay Heitsch

Last week I went to the dentist to have my teeth cleaned and X-rays. This is not something I look forward to because I usually have something wrong. I ate Twizzlers for years, and let's just say they are not the best for your teeth.
Anyway, I had a new dental hygenist. This new gal asked if I wanted to know what my usual hygienist had written. I wasn't sure I wanted to or not, but I said, "Go ahead, and tell me." What was written in my chart was, "Excellent dental hygiene!" YAY!
This appointment got even better when I was told I had the whitest teeth she had ever seen in her 10 years of being a hygienist. She asked what I used, and I told her Dr.George's Dental White. I used to buy it at Walgreens, but they stopped carrying it. You can buy it online now directly from the company in England.
This dental appointment was the best one I've had in many years. I didn't need any new crowns or anything! I'm so happy, and I'm pleased to recommend Dr. George's Dental White with anyone who likes white teeth.
