Diane and I went to the same boarding school. She was younger than I was, but her roommate was my age, and we were friends. I knew Diane through her roommate.
Many years had gone by when we moved back to Michigan. Brandon, our son, was in high school when Diane and I saw each other again.
Brandon was dating a girl whose parents knew Diane. While Diane was visiting, she noticed a PLUS magazine on the coffee table that had my picture. Diane was surprised and let them know she knew me. Brandon's girlfriend told Diane that I was Brandon's mom. Diane got my phone number, called, and came over.
We talked, and I gave Diane the book, "Have A Great Day-Everyday!" with the story "In Loving Memory Of Todd" in it. We exchanged email addresses.
Over the years, I started to write stories for this blog. Diane liked to read them, and she would let me know if she saw any mistakes. I sure appreciated her help! I know without a doubt that Diane was a Divine connection!
After Donald Trump was elected, Diane started a private group for people willing to pray for Donald Trump and his family. What I want to point out is that Diane did not vote for Donald Trump! Diane was a Libertarian. However, since he was elected, she felt it was important to pray for him and his family's safety.
Diane knew I have been on, The Presidential Prayer Team for many years. She also knew that I have not voted for every man who was elected president, so she invited me to be in this private group.
I believe God had a plan for Diane, just like He does for each of us. Diane was working on the project He had for her. Diane's life had meaning and purpose. Even though she is now gone to be with the Lord, I'm sure this private praying group will continue!
As Diane would say, GOD BLESS AMERICA!
